Breaking the Invisible

Am so pleased to announce that Invisible Trees 3 will be on display as part of the Breaking Ground exhibition at the Stables Gallery set within Orleans House Gallery. This transformational and investigative group exhibition explores ‘How can we build a better world: more inclusive, more sustainable, and more equal?’.

My piece was submitted in response to the exhibition stimulus, to which I stated:

‘This artwork breaks ground by highlighting the conundrum and frustration faced by those with invisible disabilities and how appearances can be deceiving. In regard to sustainability, the featured tree is officially ‘dead’, but is kept standing as a viable home for insects. This is vital for sustaining Bushy Park’s ecosystem’.

Running from Sunday 6 November to Sunday 21 November 2021, the work on display features the work of local artists living and working in the borough of Richmond Upon Thames.

This free exhibition is part of the Richmond Literature Festival is produced by Richmond Arts Service in partnership with the Libraries Service.
